Handmade wooden furniture to be used and to last.

‘‘Good design is as little design as possible’’ - Dieter Rams

‘‘Form Follows Function’’ - Louis Sullivan

At the beginning of a project I think about what the piece of furniture will be used for. What is its function and, then, how can its function be fulfilled in the most simple way?

Wood is beautiful, infinitely varied, and holds a feeling to humans like no other. I like to consider the tree that grew in the first place in order to respect the material I use to make a living. I try to waste as little as I can whilst making something, at the very least, as beautiful as the tree when it stood. By keeping the look of the furniture simple it allows the wood to speak for itself.

Designing and making furniture that will last a long time demands thought into size, shape and the space each piece will live in. The process of finding a solution to a space with clients is a lovely process.
